On the basis of the authorization of the Statutory Assembly of the Shipmasters' Association of Montenegro- Kotor, held on the 20th of June 2001 in Kotor, and pursuant to Article 12 of the Statute of the Association, the Managing Board of the Association at the meeting held on the 6th of October 2001, adopted the 

BOOK OF RULES

ON HONOURS AT THE FUNERAL OF MEMBERS OF THE SHIPMASTERS' ASSOCIATION OF MONTENEGRO

Article 1

            This Book of Rules shall regulate the manner and scope of honours at the funeral of members and honoured members of the Shipmaster's Association of Montenegro (hereinafter: the Association).

Article 2

            The following honours may be shown at the funeral of members and honoured members of the Association:

- Commemoration session
- Wreath or bouquet of flowers
- Escort by members of the Managing Board or Assembly at the
funeral
- Eulogy
- Honoured Guard made of members of the Managing Board
or Assembly.

Article 3

            Decision on scope of honours shall be made by the Managing Board of the Association, on the basis of its evaluations.

Article 4

            If a deceased member or honoured member of the Association, who is supposed to receive the honours pursuant to Article 2 of the Book of Rules, was a prominent person in the area of maritime industry, culture and science, or social life, honours shall be organized together with relevant bodies and organizations of the Municipality, as well as with the family of a deceased. 

Article 5

            Scope of honours referred to in Article 2 of this Book of Rules may be agreed on with the family of a deceased. 

Article 6

            The Managing Board of the Association shall inform its members on the provisions of this Book of Rules for the purpose of its consistent application.

Article 7

            The Managing Board of the Association shall interpret this Book of Rules.

Article 8

This Book of Rules shall be applied upon its adoption, i.e. from
the 6th of October 2001.
